Like plants, human bodies require careful cultivation; yet, as bipeds, we nourish ourselves from the tops of our anatomies, eating, thinking, speaking, seeing and listening from the orifices in our heads. Thus if vegetable life absorbs nutrients through the soil, man stretches his roots heavenward, high in the air.
